Leighton Buzzard Children's Theatre
We are a community drama group, based in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.
Started in 1995 we aim to teach children and young people stagecraft in a fun environment, provide performance opportunities and ensure that every member feels valued.
We fundraise for local and national charities through theatre performances and community events.
About Us
Young people aged six to eighteen are encouraged to do their best, enjoy themselves and help others in an atmosphere of sharing, caring and professional training. Our affiliated adult group is the Advance Theatre Company.We believe that every child has the right to develop skills at their own pace, achieve their full potential, and experience all the wonders of theatre.
Groups
Children's Theatre (Ages 6-12)
Tuesdays 4:15 - 5:30 at Heath and Reach Barn
Youth Section (Ages 12-18)
Tuesdays 6:00 to 7:30 at Vandyke School
Advance Theatre Company (Ages 18+)
Rehearsals are arranged to prepare for performances
The People
Sally Allsopp - Director
BEd (hons) in Drama from Middlesex University, Sally has been running children's drama in one form or another for 30 years.
David Allsopp - Musical Director
David achieved a GRSM (Hons) from the Royal Academy of Music
Hayley Green - Assistant Director
Hayley studied drama at Winchester then went on to achieve a MA in Theatre at Staffordshire University and joined the team in 2013
